As the inaugural event of the Hengdian Short Drama Global Outreach Series, the Establishment Ceremony of the Hengdian International Short Drama Alliance and the Project Launch Event will be held on the morning of October 28, with invitations already sent to industry stakeholders across various sectors.
The Hengdian Short Drama Global Outreach Series of Events are driven by the concept of “Drama without Borders, Stories without Limits – Connecting Resources, Needs, and Channels.” Through brand building, resource integration, and innovative business models, the Alliance seeks to embrace the global film and television market with an open attitude and foster the high-quality development of the short drama industry.
With its rich industrial heritage, Hengdian aims to co-create a world-class production platform with the launch of the International Short Drama Alliance. This platform will integrate production excellence, competitiveness, and distinctiveness to facilitate the overseas distribution and promotion of short dramas. The Alliance will bring together top-tier film production companies, major overseas streaming platforms, well-capitalized investors, and renowned film education institutions. The members of the Alliance not only excel in content creation and IP incubation but also hold key positions in the global short drama market, working collaboratively to build an efficient, globalized system for short drama production and distribution.
During the event, the list of short dramas planned for the fourth quarter of 2024 and 2025 will be unveiled. These will cover a diverse range of genres including romantic urban love stories, topical discussions, and Chinese cultural heritage tourism, showcasing the outstanding short dramas set to go global.
Additionally, the DreameShort National University Scriptwriting Competition Award Ceremony will also be held during the event. This competition brings together the best scriptwriting talent from universities across China, highlighting the creativity of young screenwriters and bringing fresh energy into the globalization of short dramas.
